Isabel Shamitz

Isabel’s oil painting classes at the QAA are open to all levels and explore the value of colors as well as the ability to use photography and assembled objects as visual references. Her love of Boston’s scenery is evident in the vivid colors and details of her distinctive cityscapes and portraits, capturing both image and essence in her subjects. Isabel attended the Corcoran Museum in Washington, D.C., has a B.F.A from the University of Maryland, a Certificate from the Art Institute of Boston, and has studied under Robert Cormier of the Boston Artist Guild and at the Museum of Fine Arts Extension School. We are pleased to have Isabel as a member of our faculty.
