Size: No larger than 36” in either direction, not including the frame.

 

Awards In each category: $100 First Place, $75 Second Place, $50 Third Place & Honorable Mention Ribbons. Categories with fewer than 25 entries, 1st Place only is awarded. Categories with more than 25 entries, 1st, 2nd , and 3rd Place are awarded.

 

Entry Fee: QAA members $12 per entry, non-members $16 per entry. Three entries max.

 

Special Themed Category-Celebrate Quincy

Quincy landmarks, landscapes, seascapes, attractions, community life. All mediums. (not eligible for Best of Show)

 

Size: No larger than 36” in either direction, not including the frame.

 

Award: $100 First Place and Honorable Mention Ribbons.

 

 Entry Fee: QAA members $12, non-members $16. One entry only.

 

Special Awards

  • $200.00 ArtsFest Best of Show

  • $200.00 QAA Memorial Award in memory of Kelly Cobble

  • $75.00 Anet Paglierani Award for Excellence in Painting (privately funded)

 

 

Guidelines

  • You may register just one entry, or up to the maximum three.

  • Entries must be original and not previously exhibited in ArtsFest except for Celebrate Quincy. Absolutely no wet paint.

  • Entries must be framed or 1” deep gallery wrapped canvas.

  • Must be wired, and ready to hang. No exceptions.

  • Photography on metal must be wired and ready to hang. All other photography and works on paper must be framed under glass or plexiglass.

  • All framed work must be of a solid, professional nature. Worn, scarred or damaged frames are not acceptable. No sawtooth hangers (single or double), no single loop tab type hangers, no photography style frames with “kick- stand” supports, no “snap-in” glass frames.

  • Each entry must be labeled on the back with show title, entry title, medium, and price, name, address, phone number, and email. Labels available here.

  • We request all entries be for sale. Entries not for sale will be labeled NFS.

  • Art purchased may be removed from the exhibition on the spot, with an option for the artist to bring in a replacement roughly the same size.

  • QAA will deduct 30% commission on sales. Artist payments will be made within two weeks after exhibit concludes.

  • QAA reserves the right to not exhibit entries delivered incorrectly framed or deemed inappropriate for family-friendly viewing.

  • Space is limited to roughly 150 entries

  • Entry fees are not refundable.

Parking Options

  • Metered parking on the street

  • Paid parking in the President’s Parking Lot located on Seville Ave. From either direction, look for the National Park Visitors Center on the corner of Hancock St. & Seville Ave. to park. The QArts Gallery is directly across the street from the National Park Visitors Center and Quincy College.

  • Weekends: Free parking behind the QArts Gallery in the MBTA lot. From either direction look for Starbuck’s at the end of our block on Hancock St. At that traffic light turn into the MBTA entrance and parking lot. You will need to walk a short distance around to the gallery’s front entrance on Hancock St.
