About the event

Painting Nature in Watercolor with Jennifer Halvorson  

This six session course begins on Thursday, April 9, 2026, and will meet from 4 pm to 6. Working from direct observation of flowers, leaves, and other natural objects, students will explore expressive composition, classical botanical rendering, and detailed studies using both watercolor and gouache.

Saturday & Sunday 12 - 5 PM,

Thursdays & Fridays 2 - 7 PM

Parking

  • Metered parking on the street

  • Paid parking in the President’s Parking Lot located on Saville Ave. From either direction, look for the National Park Visitors Center on the corner of Hancock St. & Saville Ave. to park. The QArts Gallery is directly across the street from the National Park Visitors Center and Quincy College.

  • Weekends: Free parking behind the QArts Gallery in the MBTA lot. From either direction look for Starbuck’s on the end of our block on Hancock St. At that traffic light turn into the MBTA entrance and parking lot. You will need to walk a short distance around to the gallery’s front entrance on Hancock Street.
