Announcing the QArts Gallery

The Quincy Art Association is excited to announce the QArts Gallery, coming to Quincy Center this October. The gallery will be located at 1229 Hancock Street in the Munroe Building. To mark its debut, the QAA is inviting all current members to submit up to two pieces of work to be chosen by our team of curators for the show. The exhibition is open to the public from October 16th to November 20th.

Details To Be Aware Of:

Members may submit a maximum of two works for judging. All mediums will be accepted. No copies or gicleés. Pieces may be no larger than 36” wide with the frame. All work must be for sale; gallery commission is 30%. Please only submit work that has been completed in last three years.


Important Dates:

Saturday October 2, 10am-1pm: Art delivery to the QArts Gallery at 1229 Hancock Street

Wednesday, October 6: Artwork selected for the exhibit will be announced

Saturday, October 9, 10am-1pm: Artwork not selected will need to be retrieved

Saturday, November 20, 10am-1pm: Retrieval of selected artwork, conclusion of the exhibit

Parking

  • Metered parking on the street

  • Paid parking in the President’s Parking Lot located on Seville Ave. From either direction, look for the National Park Visitors Center on the corner of Hancock St. & Seville Ave. to park. The QArts Gallery is directly across the street from the National Park Visitors Center and Quincy College.

  • Weekends: Free parking behind the QArts Gallery in the MBTA lot. From either direction look for Starbuck’s on the end of our block on Hancock St. At that traffic light turn into the MBTA entrance and parking lot. You will need to walk a short distance around to the gallery’s front entrance on Hancock Street.
