Service Description

Take your clay skills to the next level in this 8 week intermediate hand-building pottery class! Designed for students who have completed the beginner course or have previous experiences with hand-building, this class builds on foundational techniques while encouraging greater creativity, independence, and exploration. Students will continue developing their skills in pinch, coil, and slab construction while exploring more advanced sculpting techniques, surface design, and glazing. Projects will focus on refining craftsmanship, experimenting with form and texture, and learning new ways to bring creative ideas to life in stoneware clay. A special focus of this course will be student-led projects, giving students the opportunity to develop their own ideas and create pieces that reflect their individual interests and artistic style. The instructor will provide guidance, demonstrations, and individualized support while encouraging students to problem solve, experiment, and make their own creative decisions. Throughout the session, students will strengthen their technical skills, build confidence, and continue developing their unique artistic voice.
