Service Description

Young artists will learn the basics of line, shape, form, color, texture and space ;and apply these elements to a variety of media, including watercolor, sketch booking, collage, and mixed media. In each class, a particular artist, movement, art history period, or an international or local artist is presented. In the art project for the day we will focus on one medium. Supplies are included and aprons/smocks are provided. 10% Sibling discount is offered. Lunch/snack break is offered. At the end of the series, a group showcase will take place on May 16, 2026 at QAA. Time TBA. Family and friends are welcome.

Parking

  • Metered parking on the street

  • Paid parking in the President’s Parking Lot located on Saville Ave. From either direction, look for the National Park Visitors Center on the corner of Hancock St. & Saville Ave. to park. The QArts Gallery is directly across the street from the National Park Visitors Center and Quincy College.

  • Weekends: Free parking behind the QArts Gallery in the MBTA lot. From either direction look for Starbuck’s on the end of our block on Hancock St. At that traffic light turn into the MBTA entrance and parking lot. You will need to walk a short distance around to the gallery’s front entrance on Hancock Street.
