Service Description

Features: Professional models, dramatic lighting, occasional props, new easels, taborets, chairs, backing boards. Will provide paper, pencils, erasers, if you need ‘em.…and tasty snacks at the break! This is a self-directed workshop for those looking to practice portraiture. Hang with some talented artists and enjoy the working atmosphere. Please note: We are working with Dry Media only. Requires pre-registration: Cost: $25 / Session. $80 for 4. Saturdays, ongoing, throughout the Summer Begins: July 11th, 2026, Time: 11am to 2pm --- with a 1/2 hr. break midway. Parking considerations: Metered parking on the street, (2 hours) • ·Paid parking in the President’s Parking Lot located on Saville Ave. • From either direction, look for the National Park Visitors Center on the corner of Hancock St. & Saville Ave. to park. • The QArts Gallery is directly across the street from the National Park Visitors Center and Quincy College. • Weekends: Free parking behind the QArts Gallery in the MBTA lot. • From either direction look for Starbuck’s on the end of our block on Hancock St. At that traffic light turn into the MBTA entrance and parking lot. You will need to walk a short distance around to the gallery’s front entrance on Hancock Street.

Parking

  • Metered parking on the street

  • Paid parking in the President’s Parking Lot located on Saville Ave. From either direction, look for the National Park Visitors Center on the corner of Hancock St. & Saville Ave. to park. The QArts Gallery is directly across the street from the National Park Visitors Center and Quincy College.

  • Weekends: Free parking behind the QArts Gallery in the MBTA lot.
